Sky News contributor and author Kel Richards says he is “not convinced” Josh Frydenberg’s fight for Kooyong at the next federal election would be a hard battle.

“At some point, the penny will drop that anyone who is an independent sitting on the crossbenches actually doesn’t achieve anything,” he told Sky News host Jenna Clarke. “And if we get this bloke back in parliament he is going to achieve something as a frontbencher for the opposition and the alternative government.”
