President Joe Biden says while it's a sad day for the country, it 'doesn't mean the fight is over' as he pledged to protect women's power to 'control their own destiny' after the US Supreme Court's overturned nearly 50 years of abortion rights.

"This landmark case protected women's rights to choose, her right to make intensely personal decisions with their doctor, free from interference from politics. "No executive action from the President can do that. And if Congress, as it appears, lacks the vote - votes to do that now, voters need to make their voices heard," he said.
