Exclusive: Catch a clip from the new Dreamworks series NotQuiteNarwhal, following a unicorn raised as a narwhal, which hits Netflix on June 19:
Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the new Dreamworks animated series Not Quite Narwhal. Based on the New York Times best-selling children's book of the same name by Jessie Sima, the animated series follows Kelp, an ocean-bound unicorn. Raised in a family of narwhals, Kelp discovers other unicorns later in life.
Q&A with Co-Executive Producers Brian K. Roberts, Nakia Trower Shuman & Sarah Katin Screen Rant: How was Jessie Sima's book first introduced as an option for a series, and what touched each of you most about the story? Nakia Trower Shuman: I guess we just started by asking ourselves, “How can we serve the book well and not let the author, Jessie Sima down?” . The writing and illustrations in the book give the reader so many wonderful feelings of joy, excitement, and connection, so we tried really hard to make sure that got translated into the very DNA of the show.
