Nick Kyrgios is through to the second round at Wimbledon after beating rising French star Ugo Humbert in five sets for the second time at a grand slam this year.

Kyrgios’ last win on tour was against Humbert in a dramatic five-set encounter at the Australian Open.Almost five months later, Kyrgios’ second clash with the 23-year-old this season also featured its fair share of drama.

“I got home late and I was in so much pain this morning physically – it has been so long since I played.It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Kyrgios. There was a moment of panic when he suffered a hard fall on the slippery courts which have plagued the tournament through its first three days. If he beats the Italian, he will be on a collision course with rising Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime.

“I know my game, I know how to play, I know how to play on grass, I’m not scared of anyone in the draw. “My preparation – the amount of people that told me my preparation wasn’t good enough and I’m not good enough – I don’t really care what anyone says.Kyrgios wasn’t the only Australian in action on Wednesday night .
