Olympian Nova Peris has hit out at her Australian Republican Movement co-chair Craig Foster, claiming his leadership is stoking anti-Semitism, after suddenly stepping down from the role over their different stances on the war in Gaza.

Picture: Sky News Australia Ms Peris emphasised she still wants to see Australia become a republic and is a passionate supporter of the ARM, but that she could no longer remain as co-chair.
"My husband and I we travelled to Israel, I saw fist hand, I met with survivors, I met with families whose family members are still held hostage by Hamas." In a separate statement on social media, Foster said he wished Ms Peris well but reiterated his position on Israel competing in international football.
