League City 12s eliminate Texas City from District 14 competition

McGee had a hand in five of the 16 runs, scoring twice and driving in three.TEXAS CITY - On the first day of summer, it looked like the League City major all-stars wanted to hurry up and eliminate Texas City from the District 14 baseball race so they could take advantage of the nearby splash pad.
The District 14 tournament began its diet as the field was whittled down to six teams after Tuesday night’s play. Either Dickinson or Baytown also joined Texas City in hitting the exit door. Monday’s tournament openers saw League City fall to Oak Tree Classic champion Santa Fe 6-3, putting them in their current predicament.
