A man dubbed 'The Gimp Man of Essex' has returned to the streets of Colchester after going viral in the pandemic. Footage shows him walking along Long Wyre Street in the town centre as shoppers walk by seemingly oblivious.

A witness claimed: 'I was met by a man just before the steps onto the Balcombe Road. He was tall, olive skinned. He was wearing a black balaclava, blue beanie, black long sleeved top and women's black tights . A spokesperson for Shakespeare's Globe told MailOnline at the time: 'The decision to allow a man in a latex suit may be considered differently should it occur again. Last Halloween, trick-or-treaters in Gloucester reported sightings of a mysterious gimp who briefly antagonised the residents of Twigworth on October 31.
