The Roosters have triumphed over the Raiders 18-6, after a stellar display from James Tedesco, and the official return of Sonny Bill Williams to the NRL. 9News

The Raiders threw everything at the Roosters in the final minutes of the half, but the Tri-colours’ great wall held firm to maintain a slender four-point lead at the break.

Williams finished with 23 metres from four runs with five tackles and an offload in a 13 minute cameo, but it will take him time to get his match fitness back. Raiders enforcer Josh Papalii went off with a AC shoulder injury in the second half and did not return in a huge blow for the ‘Green Machine’.
