Police raided two homes and a business in Sydney last month as part of their investigation into suspicious betting activity in the lead-up to last year's ceremony.over allegations they placed bets on the 2019 coach of the year award with prior knowledge of the result.The Dally M Medal is the NRL's premier award, handed to the competition's best-and-fairest player.
There are also gongs for the best coach, captain and rookie handed out as part of the annual Dally M awards night.Last year, the coach's award went to Melbourne Storm's Craig Bellamy — the fifth time he has won the accolade.During the raids in Paddington, Waterloo and Surry Hills, police seized documentation, electronic devices and computers.
The investigation was launched after the NRL's Integrity Unit reported suspicious betting activity in October.Posted
