NRL: Benji Marshall and Api Koroisau spoke to the media following the Tigers loss to the Panthers in Bathurst.

NRL head of football Graham Annesley has confirmed Panthers halfback Brad Schneider should have been sent to the sin bin for a deliberate ankle tap on Justin Olam which denied a try.

The only place to watch every game of every round LIVE with no ad-breaks during play is Fox League, available on Kayo. New to Kayo?“It should have been a sin bin, in my view,” he replied when asked about the Schneider incident. Both players were sent to the sin bin in the 77th minute for a melee on the back of several minor confrontations, but it escalated off the field with Hetherington waiting for the Bulldogs hooker in the tunnel before he appeared to shape up.

Gough did the right thing by waiting longer than usual for Hetherington to leave the field, keen to avoid a repeat of the Battle of Brookvale from 2011 when Glenn Stewart and Adam Blair decided to punch on while walking to the sheds on their way to the sin bin.An incident report indicates nothing was said that could have caused the scuffle in the tunnel.
