The lead-up to Sunday’s NRL premiership decider has been hijacked by a scalping scandal as ticket holders head online to resell their seats.
Limited tickets to the grand final clash between the Eels and Panthers are selling at prices in excess of a thousand dollars each.
Rugby League Commission Chair Peter V’landys has vowed to take the matter up with New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet.NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello said in a statement that scalping is “not only illegal, it’s predatory” and to “expect the authorities to come after you”.
