BREAKING: Jack de Belin will be stood down while he faces sex assault charges in court. 9News
Today members of the ARL commission met at the NRL’s Moore Park headquarters to hold lengthy meetings around its policy, which will now allow for players accused of serious crimes to be stood down pending the outcome of their court cases.
Jack De Belin has been charged with aggravated sexual assault but has pleaded not guilty. The stand-down will occur for “serious” crimes, which have been defined by the ARL as those which carry a maximum penalty of 11 years imprisonment or more.ARLC chairman Peter Beattie has been vocal about the need for change.
