The Dolphins are sitting pretty in the top four as they prepare to host a Sea Eagles side smarting from one of the great NRL capitulations last week.
Kick-off at a somewhat sparsely populated Suncorp Stadium. Both teams feeling each other out in the early sets. Manly with the one bit of expansive backline play - that resulted in a turnover.
The Sydney Roosters have pulled off a major signing coup, beating Penrith to the services of David Fifita on a deal worth $3.3 million over four years. The Panthers’ offer of $2.55 million over three years wasn’t enough to get the deal across the line despite both Nathan and Ivan Cleary speaking to Fifita in the past 24 hours.
“We wish David all the best with his decision,” Panthers chief executive Matt Cameron said after finding out Fifita had chosen to play for the Roosters next year. The decision comes just a few hours after Fifita informed the Titans that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. The Sea Eagles will line up 1-17 as named on Tuesday, while the Dolphins have had a slight reshuffle with Kenny Bromwich now the Dolphins 18th man and Kurt Donoghoe moving to the interchange bench in his place.Good evening all. Round 10 kicks-off tonight with a clash between the fourth-placed Dolphins and fifth-placed Sea Eagles at Suncorp Stadium.
