Linebreaks: Possession and tackle busts have been relatively even, but it has been the Roosters who have been able to make the most of them. While the Broncos have held 52 per cent of the ball, their rivals have turned 23 tackle busts into four linebreaks and created opportunities to build pressure on the back of that. Brisbane have made just one linebreak from their 19 tackle breaks as the Sydney defence shuts down many an attacking raid.
Reece Walsh has come up with a knock on, a hurried pass and an ineffective kick inside Sydney’s 30m zone, and coach Kevin Walters will be eager for his marquee man to make his moments count to greater effect. Remarkably, while the Broncos have not conceded a penalty all game to the Roosters’ four, the visitors have held their line to great effect and not become flustered.
