Canberra Raiders star Corey Horsburgh has apologised for his 'disrespectful' act during the playing of the Last Post during the Anzac Day ceremony prior to the match against the Panthers.

“Corey Horsburgh, blowing bubbles with his chewing gum during the Last Post. Disrespectful,” another tweeted.

The Raiders star took to social media on Tuesday to apologise to those who had been offended by the act. “It was an honest mistake and in no way did I mean to cause offence to anyone. I always chew gum before a game and completely forgot it was still in my mouth before I ran out.
