Three icons of Australian rugby league are playing their final games today: Ali Brigginshaw, Millie Elliott and Corban Baxter. Only one NRLW grand final, in 2023, has been played without at least one of the three playing.
Today marks just the second time all three appear on grand final day together. Brigginshaw has won a Dally M Medal and four Women's State of Origin series with Queensland, captaining in 12 games. The Panthers are Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup champions, but there will be no repeat of 2022, when they won Flegg, Cup, State Championship and the NRL premiership. A tribute to Jai Arrow will be held before the NRL decider between the Sydney Roosters and Newcastle Knights.
