Sydney’s over-stretched paramedics are reaching breaking point, with the Ambulance service hitting its highest crisis level multiple times in the past two weeks.
A surge in COVID-19 cases, combined with overcrowded hospitals and staff shortages, are creating conditions the unions say are putting lives at risk.
“We haven’t known it this busy in our history,” he told Sky News Australia.“But people who have less urgent medical needs are not getting the experience that we would like.”
