New South Wales SES Acting Commissioner Daniel Austin has provided a response update after floods devastated towns and destroyed thousands of homes.
Mr Austin warned communities from the mid north coast down into the Hawkesbury-Nepean regions to prepare “well in advance” for heavy wet weather conditions as the system moves further south.
“We are asking communities to start to prepare well in advance of those particular onset conditions so that they could be ready should things occur,” he said.
