Half a million drivers in New South Wales are set to receive toll relief from Tuesday with Dominic Perrottet declaring the initiative will put 'money back in the pockets' of motorists across the state.
Drivers in New South Wales are set to benefit from a new toll rebate scheme which is part of the state government's initiative to ease cost of living pressures.
An estimated half a million drivers are expected to cash in on the rebate, which is capped at $750 per year. NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet declared the scheme would particularly help those travelling across western Sydney on busy motorways. Treasurer Matt Kean said the number of drivers who would benefit from the scheme had"doubled" with pensioners now also able to make a claim.
"This scheme is for every driver across New South Wales, but we're particularly encouraging those in western and south-western Sydney to apply and take advantage of the savings on offer."
