Voting has opened across New South Wales in an election that's tipped to be one of the closest in decades. 9News

Mr Daley this morning was first seen in Matraville, south of the Sydney CBD, before going to the Chifley Public School to place his vote.

Ms Berejiklian leads Labor leader Michael Daley 43-35 in the better premier stakes but 22 per cent of voters remained uncommitted. At the end of a tightly fought campaign, Ms Berejiklian's big sell in the closing hours, as it was through the whole election, focused on infrastructure. He pointed to overdevelopment in Sydney's west and, circling back to where his campaign began, the government's controversial $2 billion stadium rebuild plan.The race is tight across the state, but the election may hinge on just a handful of seats., which covers almost half the state and is currently held by the National Party, is expected to fall to the Shooters Party.

Ms Berejiklian contended it was her government's "strong budget position" that was funding massive spends on hospitals, schools, roads and rail.
