Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says it is time the NSW government professionalised much of the recovery effort – as disaster relief is heavily reliant on the volunteer State Emergency Service.
“They haven’t done enough,” Mr Clennell said of the state government’s response to the flooding disaster.
“The SES volunteers do a fantastic job, but we have so many natural disasters now, isn’t it time for a more professional approach?”
