Exclusive: Commonwealth concession cardholders will have access to 10 rapid antigen tests over three months until October 31 under a new NSW program | LucyCormack

The NSW government will provide free rapid antigen test kits to vulnerable groups as the federal program supplying kits to concession cardholders winds up at the end of the month.

Rapid antigen tests will be available for concession cardholders in NSW under an expansion of the state’s scheme.“We are making sure those people who need it most get the help they need to help keep themselves and the community safe through winter by stepping in and providing free rapid antigen tests,” he said.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese this week urged concession cardholders to claim their free rapid antigen tests before the subsidy runs out, defending the program’s end date as a decision “inherited from the former government and state governments”.The federal opposition has seized on the decision insisting the government review the situation according to health advice.
