The New South Wales government needs to spend its health resources “efficiently and effectively”, according to NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns.
“My sense is that this inquiry is really about looking down the runway and making sure that we’re spending health resources efficiently and effectively,” Mr Minns said.
“But this is really about making sure that, for example, when you look at the health budget which currently constitutes 27 per cent of outgoing funding from the NSW government but will rise to 38 per cent by 2061 unless we start doing something about efficiencies.”
