NSW Liberal leader Mark Speakman said the Voice to Parliament proposal had changed since his predecessor, premier Dominic Perrottet, announced his support for the referendum.

Speaking to Sky News Australia’s Andrew Clennell, the NSW opposition leader said he was “sympathetic to the concept” but that he has concerns about whether the wording of the proposal is “sufficiently flexible and practical.”

“I am formulating my views at the moment and I'll have something to say in the coming weeks,” he said Mr Speakman’s position is a departure from his predecessor, former Liberal Premier Dominic Perrottet, who had announced his support for the Voice to Parliament. “And secondly, that was at a time when the voice that we were discussing was a…voice to Parliament, and not also a voice to government.”
