NSW Opposition leader Chris Minns says New South Wales must adopt a “state-owned” energy provider to drive down the costs of energy.

“The privatised model that we’ve seen across the eastern states have meant that power prices are increasingly rapidly,” Mr Minns told Sky News Australia.

“We’re looking at initiatives to lower the cost for businesses and families because at the moment people are doing it very tough.”
