Nurses and midwives in New South Wales will today go on strike in a bid for a new nurse-to-patient ratio.
One nurse for every four patients is the main demand, as the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association strikes for the third time this year.
They say the government is not listening to overworked health care professionals who are stretched by the pandemic. Nurses and midwives are also demanding a seven per cent pay rise to keep up with the rising cost of living.
