NSW Police officers were forced to shut down a number of parties flouting social distancing in the eastern suburbs on Saturday night
"A number of private parties were shut down due to non-compliance with social distancing guidelines, with attendees moved on from the area," a police spokeswoman said.One twitter user took to social media to post images of what appears to be the leftovers from a party in Woollahra's Cooper Park.
Police have since issued a reminder to the community that large gatherings are not permitted as part of current COVID-19 restrictions. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said on Sunday that she was disappointed to see people flouting social distancing rules over the weekend.
