NSW police officer Kristian White has been suspended from the force without pay following his conviction for the manslaughter of Clare Nowland , a 95-year-old woman, who he shot with a Taser at a nursing home in Cooma, NSW. Nowland had a serrated knife and was threatening staff and police when White used the Taser , causing her to fall and sustain fatal head injuries.
The NSW Police Commissioner, Karen Webb, stated that White's employment status is under review, and a judge will determine if White should remain on bail before sentencing
