A review commissioned by NSW Police following the alleged murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies has been handed down today, recommending real-time monitoring of firearms.
An internal NSW Police review has released its recommendations today, including real-time tracking of police firearms.
Mr Lamarre-Condon is alleged to have taken home a police-issued hand gun three days before allegedly using it to murder the pair in a Paddington home. Police Commissioner Karen Webb called in Victoria Police to review gun policies after concerns were raised about serious loopholes in the tracking and storing of weapons.
It also recommended the digitisation of a firearms movement register to monitor the movement of weapons in real time.
