An on-air interview between 2GB host Ben Fordham and NSW Premier Chris Minns has turned heated after the talking point shifted to Police Commissioner Karen Webb.

Mr Minns waxed lyrical about Commissioner Webb's work in her position when Fordham brought up the gin scandal and things turned fiery when the host suggested the Premier's lack of criticism for the top cop meant he was ignoring police concerns. "The police on the beat are looking for you for some leadership on this. Are you saying that these officers just need to grin and bear it?""I would never say that. I wouldn't say that to a police officer. I know what they have to do every single day. I know shift is difficult, you've got no idea what you're going to face over that 12 hour period when you're working on the job. I know it's extremely difficult, it stretches families," he said.
Fordham went into Commissioner Webb's lies about the gin ordeal, as he attempted to gauge whether the Premier thought she was honest. When the Premier attempted to respond, Fordham quickly cut in as he tried to correct Mr Minns to answer what he made of Commissioner Webb's honesty. "Let me tell you that the first graduating class that's full in the Goulburn academy for years, is currently working their way through to attestation."
