NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says there will be 'no questions asked' of festival-goers who use drug amnesty bins at a major music event in Sydney.

There will be"no questions asked" if people use drug amnesty bins at a major Sydney festival on Saturday, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says.

The drug amnesty bins were announced by the NSW government in December, allowing festival-goers to discard illegal drugs without penalty.Ms Berejiklian encouraged revellers to use the bins at the FOMO festival in Parramatta Park on Saturday. "I hope that people take the opportunity not to take pills which could kill them, but to dispose of them safely," she told reporters on Saturday morning.

"We don't want to see any more families go through any more grief. Dispose of them safely and no questions will be asked."The bins form part of the state government's response to recommendations made by deputy state coroner Harriet Grahame after an inquest into six MDMA-related deaths at NSW music festivals.
