NSW has recorded 105 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday and another fatality. The woman who died lived in south-eastern Sydney and was aged in her 90s.NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said this number worried authorities most.
More than 66,000 tests were administered overnight but Dr Chant said she wanted to see more testing across Sydney, but particularly in Mount Druitt, Cumberland and Rooty Hill. She sympathised with residents of the three Local Government Areas hit with the harshest restrictions, and said they would not be punished if they needed urgent services.
