NSW has registered 262 new local infections of Covid-19, and sadly an unvaccinated woman in her 80s has died.
Concerningly, at least 50 were active in the community while infectious and a woman died with Covid-19 overnight, she added.
Health officials confirmed the woman had been a resident at the Wyoming Residential Aged Care Facility in Summer Hill, which is the subject of an outbreak, and she died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.The number of people hospitalised due to the virus is also growing.
