NSW records five new coronavirus infections, two of those in hotel quarantine

Health authorities in NSW have confirmed five new coronavirus infections in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

NSW chief medical officer Kerry Chant said three of those cases were all located in South-West Sydney and were all locally acquired."That includes one who is a household contact of a previously reported case, associated with the July funerals cluster," Dr Chant said. "There was also one gentlemen in his 20s who, again, source was unknown, but investigations are underway."The remaining two cases were returned travellers in hotel quarantine.More to come.
