New South Wales has recorded nine new cases of coronavirus in the past the 24 hours, with one case under investigation about its origin.

New South Wales has recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, with one case under investigation about its origin. The state’s health department confirmed on Sunday four of the new cases were from returned travellers and the other five cases were locally acquired.

A known case visited a KFC in the Sydney suburb of Concord on September 6, between 1pm and 1.20pm. “Anyone who attended this venue at this time is considered a casual contact and must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if they develop,” NSW health officer Dr Christine Selvey said. “After testing, they must remain in isolation until a negative test result is received.
