Almost 300,000 households in NSW will be provided with a new bin service as part of $6 million in government funding to cut the waste ending up in landfill.

Environment and Heritage Minister James Griffin announced $6.2 million of funding from the NSW Liberal and Nationals government will allow 14 council areas to be included in the food organics and garden organics collection service.
