Hospitalisations have slowed in New South Wales and Victoria as health systems in the two largest states start to crumble under the pressure of the Omicron strain.
Just under 28 per cent of the eligible population aged 18 and over have received a booster shot.
More than 82 per cent of the 12 to 15-year-old cohort have received one dose with 78.3 per cent fully vaccinated.A full detailed breakdown of the deaths and whether they were vaccinated will be provided at a press conference on Wednesday at 10am.Hospitalisations in Victoria also saw a small increase with 21 residents admitted to hospitals and a further 18 deaths.The state recorded 20,769 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday.
