A woman in NSW narrowly escaped an abduction attempt in broad daylight outside a mattress factory in Tweed Heads. The incident occurred when the woman was finishing her shift and a man allegedly tried to force her into a vehicle. She managed to escape and lock herself in a nearby business as the man fled the scene. Police are taking the incident seriously and have launched a major investigation.
A NSW woman has narrowly escaped an abduction attempt in broad daylight after a man allegedly tried to force her into a vehicle outside a mattress factory in Tweed Heads . The woman, 27, was finishing her shift at the Greenway Dr business in Tweed Heads South about 12.20pm on Saturday when the alleged incident unfolded. The young woman managed to escape the car and locked herself in a business nearby as the man fled the scene.
Appearing on Sunrise on Tuesday, reporter Tamra Bow explained the incident. “She was leaving work when she was approached by an unknown man who then allegedly forced her into the vehicle. She managed to break away, locking herself back inside the mattress factory and phoning police,” she said. “Officers from the Tweed-Byron region have confirmed they are taking this attempted abduction very seriously.” A major investigation into the incident has been launched and a manhunt is underway
