NT Chief Minister Natasha Fyles has issued a “furious response” to allegations Scott Morrison attempted to convince the Coalition to adopt tougher alcohol bans in the Northern Territory.
Mr Morrison allegedly attempted to convince the Coalition during a party meeting to adopt Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price’s intervention-era alcohol bans bill for Central Australia to combat its long-standing alcohol-fueled crime crisis.
Northern Territory Chief Minister Natasha Fyles has responded to the allegations saying, “Scott Morrison is the prime minister who let the Northern Territory down”.“His cabinet refused to look at alcohol management plans. His words mean very little now – his actions speak volumes and will do so for decades to come.”
