A spokesman said doctors had advised there were ongoing issues, and Mr Gunner would be taking time off until he has been cleared to return to work. In a statement, the spokesman also said Mr Gunner was grateful for the efforts of staff at the Royal Darwin Hospital and Darwin Private, who provided excellent care."On doctor's orders, he will be resting up for the short term," Ms Manison said.
"He's looking forward to being back at work as soon as possible. He's had fantastic care but he's certainly listening to the doctor's orders — I'm making sure he listens to the doctor's orders.Ms Manison said it was a minor issue and not related to any underlying health problems. Mr Gunner was treated at the Borroloola health clinic for an undisclosed health matter in early October. At the time, he said:"Thanks to everyone who sent well wishes. Back at it today."
