Authorities on Monday, July 31, continued their investigation into the death of a 32-year-old security guard who was beaten by a group of a young men outside a Hollywood nightclub over the weekend.
The attack occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday, July 30, at the Dragonfly Hollywood at 6510 Santa Monica Blvd., near Wilcox Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police said in a statement that “for unknown reasons” a group of seven to 11 men in their 20s “confronted the victim and when the victim lost his footing and fell to the street, the suspects advanced and began kicking and stomping the victim.”The security guard died at a hospital. The victim’s name had not been released by authorities.
