BREAKING NEWS: NYPD recovers body floating in the water at Newtown Creek in Williamsburg.

Authorities have not yet identified the deceased person or any details surrounding the investigation. Law enforcement aboard a small raft took that body away and out of the water just before 1 p.m.

The discovery comes not long after police say a 27-year-old John Castic went missing after attending a concert at the Brooklyn Mirage. The venue is less than a half-mile from where the body was found in the water. According to officers, the missing man was last seen at round 3 a.m. Saturday. However, it's still not clear if the body found in the water is related to the missing man case at this time.
