Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced a $400 million fund will be given to improve public school facilities, the first in a series of projects benefiting 2,000 schools. Individual schools will receive between $50,000 and $400,000 to fix classrooms and fund other urgent upgrades. Opposition leader Simon Bridges said the spending is business as usual spun as stimulus.
