If today's news conference with ScottMorrisonMP is any indication, jacindaardern believes all Kiwis, including criminals, should be entitled to “all the benefits” afforded to Australian citizens according to Sky News host Peta Credlin

If today's news conference with Scott Morrison is any indication, NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern believes all Kiwis, including criminals, should be entitled to “all the benefits” afforded to Australian citizens, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin. NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has criticised Australia's stringent deportation policy, saying the policy is "corrosive" damaging the Trans-Tasman relationship.

Under Australia's deportation policy, anyone who has committed a serious criminal offence will be deported to their country of origin. Around 2,000 New Zealanders have been deported under the policy. Ms Credlin said Ms Ardern should know that the Australian government does not make exceptions when it comes to deportation laws – even for our closest cousins. “What we should never do is let foreign criminals remain here when they have trespassed on our goodwill, and broken our laws,” she said.
