GRANGERLAND — Oak Ridge coach Tommie Lynn Sledge continues to see growth from her young team on the fly.On Tuesday, the War Eagles came into Caney Creek and swept the Panthers 25-5, 25-18, 25-6.
“Little by little, we are making some improvements,” Sledge said. “It’s just enjoyable to watch the young players grow and get better and for them as a team to grow together.” “We are still struggling with the consistency of game to game,” she said. “We’re battling. We play phenomenal and then we drop down. They’re really working.”With a 5-4 lead, Lily Campos went on to serve up 19 consecutive points for Oak Ridge, including four aces in the stretch.
Caney Creek had a couple kills from Brooke Davis and Emily Bockelman early on. Hailey Caballero had an ace.
