The age rating for the upcoming ObiWanKenobi series is lower than any other live-action StarWars series on Disney+ thus far.

It's been revealed that Obi-Wan Kenobi will have the lowest age rating so far amongst live-action Star Wars series. The highly-anticipated series, starring Ewan McGregor back in his iconic role as Obi-Wan, is just under a month away from its May 27 premiere date. It's set to follow Obi-Wan in the midst of his exile on Tatooine as he struggles between watching over Luke Skywalker and helping to protect the galaxy around him.

The inclusion of Darth Vader and his"ruthless" Inquisitors has set expectations for a tense and thrilling series. The first trailer for the series even showed a villager's hanging feet as the Inquisitor Reva seemed to be interrogating fellow townspeople about Force-sensitive beings, which raises the stakes even more for a Jedi like Obi-Wan. If Reva stays hot on Obi-Wan's trail as he ventures off-world on a mission, then it's assumed that danger will follow close behind him.

This seems to hint that Obi-Wan Kenobi won't be extremely dark, though a lack of action would be surprising for director Deborah Chow and her love of thrilling sequences. Regarding her work on episodes 3 and 7 of The Mandalorian season 1, Chow previously expressed how enthusiastic she was in adding more stormtroopers for Din Djarin to mow down as he freed Grogu, as well as how many explosions she chose to include once the Mandalorians arrived to rescue their comrade.

Despite its rating, Obi-Wan Kenobi is a series that has people of all ages more excited than ever. From those who watched the very first Star Wars film in theaters to those who grew up with the prequel Star Wars trilogy and even those who call the sequel Star Wars trilogy their childhood, this upcoming story means a lot to its enthusiastic viewers.
