‘Siri, show me what classism looks like.’ That’s Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tweeted response to a story about how Uber’s Greenlight Hub office in Providence, R.I., offers up separate bathrooms for “partners” and “employees.”
Anyone else think it's strange that Uber views partners & employees as two separate classes of people? pic.twitter.com/3SGeKSae3g An Uber spokesperson responded, “This was a mistake and we regret it. We are removing the signs and have made it clear that this was not appropriate.” “It’s a small but big way you can help all the drivers you’ve met get paid more to feed their families + support themselves,” she tweeted.
