The fire broke out Saturday afternoon and burned portions of the Bass River State Forest, the Stafford Forge Wildlife Management Area and the Warren Grove Bombing Range in Ocean County, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service., the fire service said Saturday that the 1,607-acre fire, dubbed the “Log Swamp Wildfire,” was 60% contained and had caused closures on Route 539 between Forge Road and Warren Grove.WILDFIRE UPDATE: Log Swamp Wildfire – Little Egg Harbor Twp.
