Mr Rush convinced British adventurer Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet to pay £195,000 for a ticket to visit the Titanic wreckage on the seafloor of the Atlantic Ocean. Picture: OceanGate.Speaking to The UK’s The Mirror on Monday, Mr Harding’s friend Victor Vescovo said he warned the British adventurer against travelling in the vessel as it was a doomed game of “Russian roulette”.
He said the Marine Technical Society previously wrote a letter to Mr Rush pleading him to get the subclassed or else cease his operations, however the businessman ignored the warning.
