Ohio dropped closer to the 10,000-case benchmark this week for COVID-19, as the number of cases dipped from 12,262 last week to 10,865 this week.

Ohio has been over 10,000 cases per week, except for brief dips, since the beginning of May. Weekly case numbers dipped below 10,000 again for two weeks in October. The weekly county was as high as 29,876 in late July.This week’s case total averages to about 1,552 casesTotal reported COVID-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic were 40,257.A total of 7,518,219 Ohioans have received at least one vaccination, representing about 67.8% of Ohioans age 5 and up.
Since the beginning of 2021, there have been 25,223 deaths among people reported as unvaccinated, and 1,413 among people reported to be fully vaccinated. And there have been 79,683 hospitalized Ohioans who were not fully vaccinated, and 5,939 fully vaccinated people hospitalized.* Total reported cases: 3,208,165, up 10,865.* Total reported ICU admissions: 14,440, up 33.* Total reported hospitalizations: 129,044, up 538.
